One thing I’ll say about Florida, is that the weather here has really slowed me down. When it’s humid like it was today, I find myself taking a lot more walk breaks than I ever would. But as I found myself getting frustrated, I reminded myself that so many can’t even run a single mile anymore, and that I should be thankful for each step I take. So my new thought process is, “I no longer care about the pace I run, as long as I’m getting it done.” I’ll forever be thankful for the supplements I take, Novo Renew, that have afforded me the ability to keep moving. Good thing for you Gasparilla runners this weekend:we’ve got a cold front coming through this weekend!!! Let me know if you’re running!!! I’ll cheer you on!
Are you currently training for anything? What is your favorite distance to run? Do you notice yourself slowing down as you age (or is it just me, haha!)?
So if you’ve been around a while, (and even if you haven’t) you’ll know I’ve struggled with motivation lately. And while it’s gotten better, I can honestly say I enjoy relaxing on my recliner after a long day at work WAY too much, HA! BUT…time for that all to end.
My husband and I watched “Brittney runs a marathon” this weekend on Amazon Prime, (check out a clip HERE) and it really resonated with me. I used to be that runner that went to “run club” and had “running friends” and I used to have such a sense of purpose while training for a race. I thought I had forgotten that feeling, but thankfully running truly is in my blood. And because of that, I asked my husband to run with me on Monday…to slow down and just run beside me to help keep me going….and he did just that!! I am no longer going to look back on what kind of runner I used to be, or what pace I used to be able to run; instead I will look forward which has been my mantra for nearly a decade. I will keep taking my Novorenew to keep my joints and muscles fresh and remind myself that while it’s ok to step back, it’s not ok to stop. Let the fun begin!!!
Speaking of fun, I was contacted by a company called www.funrunbox.com asking me to review their box. (I generously received a free box, in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own).
Here’s a little bit about the company and what they offer:
Beyond the content of the box, we feel one of our big differentiators is the monthly challenge; our subscribers love it, and it keeps them motivated Our subscribers get access to an exclusive running community where they can share, motivate and get motivated Our subscribers can get discount coupons for many of the items in the box, allowing them to purchase at below retail prices Our subscribers also get access to exclusive content (training, motivation, tips, etc.) Finally, our subscribers have access to members only sales
Here’s a snapshot of what I received (over $60.00 worth of items!!!):
This is such a fun concept/idea and I look forward to learning more about the company. If you use Welcome15 at checkout, you’ll save 15% off of your first box!!!
How do you stay motivated? What’s your favorite fuel for running? Are you a hot/cold weather runner?
I’m happy to say that I’ve been doing well with both my exercise, and eating over the last two weeks. Previously I spoke about refocusing for the summer and I feel like I am doing a decent job. While it’s been too darn hot outside to run, (temps in the high 90’s with a gazillion % humidity and real feel temps of the 105’s), I’ve done T25 work out videos twice this week, and have been great about doing my planks/core work outs as well. I even did the T25 lower body workout yesterday, and I can’t help but to give credit to Novo Renew and the amazing all natural ingredients it contains to help muscle recovery and joint health. Six months ago, I would have never attempted lunges or squats!! Click the link to try it out, and use my code Michelle25 at checkout to save…buy two bottles and shipping is FREE!
My new job is going well so far! I had zero training, so every day is a new adventure. My biggest struggle has been that I am not used to a “desk” job, so getting my steps in every day is a struggle for the first time since I can remember. I’ve been short a couple thousand most days, so I need to work on that issue. But, I have been getting GREAT compliments on my Stitch Fix tops that I got last week, so I am already looking forward to next month’s fix!!! Click the link to check it out!!! You won’t be sorry – they’ve got such cute items tailored just for you!!
Lastly, I am still struggling with the loss of my pup, Sammy, 13 weeks ago. I think this week is extra hard as my husband is gone for Army training…:(
How are you all doing? How do you keep active during inclement weather? What is your favorite place to shop? (Mine is consignment shops!!)
It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since Sammy passed away. I’ve committed myself to living a better life for him, because he would’ve wanted that for me. With a real feel of 87 degrees outside tonight, I decided the run/walk method was the way to go. I ran more and a tad faster than Monday so I’ll take it. I’m so thankful for Novo Renew and my renewed joints and muscles. See link in my bio if you’re interested and use my code Michelle25 at checkout to save. Who’s movin’ today!??

With storms looming I knew I needed to get this done despite 87 degree temps and strong winds. The first mile was easy, the last two not so much. My breathing was the only thing I struggled with, thankfully. I’ve got happy IT bands and knees thanks to @novorenew finally. For dinner I made a simple skirt steak seasoned with low sodium taco seasoning and salt and pepper over a cabbage salad with blue cheese dressing.
How was your Monday? Did you work out? What’s on your dinner plate?
So a little while back I spoke about Battling mid-life and how one of the things I would love to do is help people. While I have had a successful career in the lab, helping people in general, is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. Be it an inspirational quote, or a quick chat, I love helping people feel better. So, when I was afforded this Exciting opportunity to be an Ambassador for Novo Renew, I jumped at the chance. In the last month or so I have really enjoyed promoting these amazing supplements I just can’t stop talking about, and I don’t just talk about them, I take them as well. I’ve loved the feedback I have gotten from those that started taking them as well, and my favorite customer (My DAD) just ordered a second bottle. WOOHOO!!!
So while I may be tired after working all day, I truly have a passion for Novo Renew, and plan to continue to spending a couple of hours each night working on spreading the word about these life changing, all natural, amazing supplements.

My #tbt goes back to 2013 when I crushed my goals for my second marathon. My first marathon was in 2012 and my knee gave up at mile 17 but I didn’t quit…I finished in 5:23. One year later and a lot of determination landed me with my current marathon PR of 4:25, and I even negative split the race meaning I ran the second half faster than the first half. It was one of my proudest moments and this picture captures the sheer happiness running brings to my life. (And I still wear that exact same visor…LOL! I’m surprised it hasn’t fallen apart!)
Thanks to Novo Renew I have hopes that one day I just may run another full marathon!!! Check HERE to learn more and use my code Michelle25 at check out to save.
Have you ever ran a full marathon? Do you have aching/sore joints and muscles? Remember, these supplements aren’t just for runners!!!
Yup it was a little windy for this one!!! Almost 20 mph winds weren’t going to stop me. Those of you that have followed me for a while know that I never do run streaks or run two days in a row. But my knees have felt so good from taking Novo Renew that I thought I’d give it a try since I know my schedule won’t permit a run tomorrow. Well, would you look at those splits!?! And that’s the fastest mile I’ve ran in years!!! If you’re interested in happy joints and muscle recovery click THIS LINK and use Michelle25 at check out to save. I’m a believer!!!
What is your fastest mile? Mine was in the 7’s back in my younger days, but haven’t seen those numbers in decades. I am please when I can stay in the low 9’s/high 8’s.
I tell ya what…I was a little nervous about tonight’s run. It was a sunny 80 degree evening and I’d eaten dinner just 30 minutes before heading out. The first mile my legs were pretty heavy but then magic happened and I felt great. The heat and sun made it harder but I wouldn’t have traded a single mile. I also hit my fastest mile this year of 9:32!! Two months ago I never would’ve thought I could run like this again. I definitely give a lot of credit to Novorenew for this. My joints have never felt better and my recovery time is cut in half. Click HERE and use Michelle25 to save 25% off of your order.
I even managed to negative split my run, and had a car not flown past me that last .1 was at 8:55!! Keep in mind my short runs from back in 2015 were always 9:00-9:30 so this is a huge victory. I finally am starting to feel like my old self again, and I am so thankful for Novo Renew and its amazing all natural effects its given me not only for joint relief but quicker recovery. Click the links above if you are interested.
Why do you run? What’s your favorite distance? Happy Tuesday!
