Thursday thoughts!!

One thing I’ll say about Florida, is that the weather here has really slowed me down. When it’s humid like it was today, I find myself taking a lot more walk breaks than I ever would. But as I found myself getting frustrated, I reminded myself that so many can’t even run a single mile anymore, and that I should be thankful for each step I take. So my new thought process is, “I no longer care about the pace I run, as long as I’m getting it done.” I’ll forever be thankful for the supplements I take, Novo Renew, that have afforded me the ability to keep moving. Good thing for you Gasparilla runners this weekend:we’ve got a cold front coming through this weekend!!! Let me know if you’re running!!! I’ll cheer you on!

Are you currently training for anything? What is your favorite distance to run? Do you notice yourself slowing down as you age (or is it just me, haha!)?

Cheers!

A little motivation

So if you’ve been around a while, (and even if you haven’t) you’ll know I’ve struggled with motivation lately. And while it’s gotten better, I can honestly say I enjoy relaxing on my recliner after a long day at work WAY too much, HA! BUT…time for that all to end.

My husband and I watched “Brittney runs a marathon” this weekend on Amazon Prime, (check out a clip HERE) and it really resonated with me. I used to be that runner that went to “run club” and had “running friends” and I used to have such a sense of purpose while training for a race. I thought I had forgotten that feeling, but thankfully running truly is in my blood. And because of that, I asked my husband to run with me on Monday…to slow down and just run beside me to help keep me going….and he did just that!! I am no longer going to look back on what kind of runner I used to be, or what pace I used to be able to run; instead I will look forward which has been my mantra for nearly a decade. I will keep taking my Novorenew to keep my joints and muscles fresh and remind myself that while it’s ok to step back, it’s not ok to stop. Let the fun begin!!!

Still Movin’

Hey gang!!

I’m happy to say that I’ve been doing well with both my exercise, and eating over the last two weeks. Previously I spoke about refocusing for the summer and I feel like I am doing a decent job. While it’s been too darn hot outside to run, (temps in the high 90’s with a gazillion % humidity and real feel temps of the 105’s), I’ve done T25 work out videos twice this week, and have been great about doing my planks/core work outs as well. I even did the T25 lower body workout yesterday, and I can’t help but to give credit to Novo Renew and the amazing all natural ingredients it contains to help muscle recovery and joint health. Six months ago, I would have never attempted lunges or squats!! Click the link to try it out, and use my code Michelle25 at checkout to save…buy two bottles and shipping is FREE!

My new job is going well so far! I had zero training, so every day is a new adventure. My biggest struggle has been that I am not used to a “desk” job, so getting my steps in every day is a struggle for the first time since I can remember. I’ve been short a couple thousand most days, so I need to work on that issue. But, I have been getting GREAT compliments on my Stitch Fix tops that I got last week, so I am already looking forward to next month’s fix!!! Click the link to check it out!!! You won’t be sorry – they’ve got such cute items tailored just for you!!

Lastly, I am still struggling with the loss of my pup, Sammy, 13 weeks ago. I think this week is extra hard as my husband is gone for Army training…:(

Thoughts and Movin’

So a little while back I spoke about Battling mid-life and how one of the things I would love to do is help people. While I have had a successful career in the lab, helping people in general, is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. Be it an inspirational quote, or a quick chat, I love helping people feel better. So, when I was afforded this Exciting opportunity to be an Ambassador for Novo Renew, I jumped at the chance. In the last month or so I have really enjoyed promoting these amazing supplements I just can’t stop talking about, and I don’t just talk about them, I take them as well. I’ve loved the feedback I have gotten from those that started taking them as well, and my favorite customer (My DAD) just ordered a second bottle. WOOHOO!!!

So while I may be tired after working all day, I truly have a passion for Novo Renew, and plan to continue to spending a couple of hours each night working on spreading the word about these life changing, all natural, amazing supplements.

Why I run…My story in a nutshell

How do you run so much? Don’t your knees hurt? Isn’t running bad for your knees?? These are several questions I get asked daily, so here’s my story!

runnerknee

I started running back in junior high school as a way to try and be involved and get to know people and continued running throughout my high school years. While serving in the Air Force I also ran as part of the physical requirements needed, but also as a way to remain fit. I’ve always loved running, but little did I know, running would truly save my life as I learned back in 2007. I had suffered severely from postpartum depression, and after having some career setbacks that year along with losing my fraternal Grandfather, I KNEW I needed to get my mind right. I was talking with a friend in mid-September, and on a whim we decided to run the Rock and Roll half marathon in San Antonio, TX. I had less than 8 weeks to train and I gave it everything I had. I would run in the evenings after work, and my training plan was mapped out on a simple note pad. I tracked my mileage map by driving the route and annotating the mile markers on my plan. I had a simple Timex watch that tracked my time per mile which I had to track with pen and paper when I got home from my run. There were no fancy GPS watches or gels, it was just me, my IPod, some water, and my worn out Nike shoes. I ran that first half marathon in 2:19, and I can say it was a defining moment in my life. Finally I had a release to the stress and sadness, finally I felt like me again.
Fast forward 12 years, and I’ve now ran 3 full marathons (PR is 4:25) and 17 half marathons (PR is 2:00:11). Running is a NEED in my life, no longer a simple past time. As you can imagine, 30+ years of running has taken it’s toll on my knees. This last couple of years especially. I have tried all the glucosamine supplements, NSAIDS, and everything in between with no relief. I had honestly contemplated giving up distance running which just the thought of it broke my heart. So when Tad from NOVO Renew reached out to me, asking if I wanted to try his all natural supplements for pain relief and anti-inflammatory issues, I thought, “Why not?”
So here I am just a couple of weeks later, and I can already feel a difference. My knees don’t constantly hurt, and I am able to walk/run pain free!!! Does story resonate with you at all? Are you interested in getting rid of all the Ibuprofen out of your medicine cabinet AND your body? Then please, click HERE to try this amazing product out. Exciting opportunity

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a company to try out their product that was not only all natural, but good for anti-inflammatory as well as aiding in bone and collagen health. The company is Novo Renew, and I talked a little about it yesterday.

runningmeme
Because we sure don’t want THIS to happen, LOL

As a middle aged runner, my knees and joints aren’t what they used to be, so I jumped at the chance to give it a try.

The product contains 8 natural ingredients which include:

Inflammation modulation
Boswellia Extract
Frutiex-B (calcium fructoborate)

Joint and soft tissue protection and maintenance
MSM (calcium fructoborate)
UCII Type 2 Undernatured Collagen
Vitamin D

Immune Modulation
Bromelain
Trypsin
Rutin

I started taking it about a week ago, to give my time to adjust to it before the Gasparilla half marathon which was yesterday, read about it here in case you missed it! I could almost immediately see a difference. The pain in my knees were dramatically less, and I can honestly say I ran the race yesterday, “knee pain” free. That, my friends, is HUGE. So much so, that when the folks at Novo Renew gave me the opportunity to be an affiliate, I decided to JUMP at the chance. My affiliate link can be found HERE! And if you use my link, use the code “Michelle25” and you’ll receive 25% off of your order.

SO, what do you get? For around $29.00 you get a month’s supply of supplements. The daily dose is 2 capsules per day, (which are very easy to swallow) with food. Novo Renew suggests taking with breakfast or lunch, as many people feel an energy boost after taking Novo. Too easy, right!!!??? Think of all of the money you’ve spent on NSAID’s which have terrible side effects such as high blood pressure, kidney damage and severe GI problems. Here is what it would cost for you to buy all of the supplements in Novo separately, which shows $29.00 is a great price!

Collagen UC-II-60 capsules, $22
Boswellia Serrata-60 capsules, $16
Vitamin D-60 capsules, $4
Bromelain-60 capsules, 16
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)-60 capsules, $8
Fruitex B (calcium fructoborate)-60 capsules, $12
Rutin-60 capsules, $12
Trypsin-60 capsules, $18
Total=$108 (The prices above represent an average price for each of these natural supplements. There may be slightly cheaper options – and there are also much more expensive options – for each.)

Lastly, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee, so you REALLY can’t go wrong!!! What are you waiting for? Click HERE and don’t forget to use Michelle25 at check out to get your 25% off (which is the $29 price)!!!

Please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions. If I don’t know the answer, I will make sure to find the answer for you ASAP. Also, please share with anyone you may know that is suffering from knee/joint issues. Thanks!!

Do you have knee/joint pain? What do you currently take for the pain? Would you be willing to try something all natural? If so, please click the link above.

Cheers,

Michelle
