Friday Five-Week 3 of training

Here are some things/stuffs I am loving/living this week.

1. First, and foremost.  My Brooks Launch 2’s.  I love them.  They are like clouds on my feet and I wish I could sleep in them…ok….maybe a bit much but still.

2. I chew gum when I run.  Some question folks who can talk and chew gum at the same time.  I MUST run and chew gum at the same time or my cadence is completely OFF.  Brand?  Extra, of course. Orange or Watermelon are my go-to flavors.

3. As I near my 1 year anniversary at work, I find myself almost waiting for the other shoe to drop.  I am so in love with my job (minus weekends, holidays, and the occasional snarky person) that I keep shaking my head.  Every day is better.  Every day I feel like I am making a difference with the best crew I’ve ever supervised.  Someone.  Pinch.  ME.  now.

4. Single parenting is tough.  We’ve discussed this before. But sometimes we surprise ourselves and realize we CAN do it alone. Going on the better part of the month, alone and – WINNING.

I may have served 20 years, but I still have years to serve as a spouse.

5. Dreadmill runs are extremely difficult for me.  But as I ran tonight my virtual RBFF texted me continually telling me I COULD do this.  Thanks, Maria.

pretty much...

So at the end of the day, I am living, running, moving, and loving EVERY single step of my life.

  1. Gum while running. . Hmm Idk if I could do that. I would probably swallow it. That’s awesome that you love your job so much.
what made me happiest. . Just to be able to run again. 🙂

  2. Sounds like many blessings in your life darling. You deserve it. What made me happiest this week? Simple. My support system of family, a few select close friends, and besides post op pain my first week in nearly 17 years I don’t have horrible pain to deal with. Once I’m 100% I see lots of new hobbies on the horizon, a little jogging, more yoga and simply enjoying getting stronger and healthier. Miss you. Love your blog my best friend. Xo

  3. You’ve totally sold me on the Lauches Michelle once done with all my pure drifts that’s what I’m switching to lol. Being able to get in some consistent running has made me happy this week 🙂 xoxo

  4. Actually I wear Brooks running shoes and they fit.
    Dreadmill……. I hate it!
Glad you are in love with your job.
The trip to Scotland, the race I have run and the victory of Italy made me happy.

  5. That’s so interesting that you chew gum while you run. I’ve never heard of that before! Glad to see you taking this winter by storm and showing the treadmill who’s boss 🙂

  6. Single parenting IS hard! Though my husband is not in the military he is away for work so I’m a part-time single mama of two. Happy 1 year work anniversary! I stepped out of my comfort zone at work this week and did some graphic facilitation – I’m pretty happy with that!

  7. That’s SO great you are so happy with your job! I think I’m happiest it’s at last above zero and expected to stay that way. Also for springing ahead!
