I read a great post yesterday and it was on my heart to expand my feelings.

I don’t know about you, but for whatever reason these last couple of years/aging have kicked my butt.

Today’s post is my throwback Thursday. 9 years ago today I ran a 20 mile race with my sister in 3 hours and 39 minutes. in preparation for my first full marathon. Sadly that marathon didn’t go so well but I I did finish strong.
Posting this to remind myself that I once did some pretty amazing things, and even if I still can’t do the same things as I once could, that I’m doing my best.
Remind yourself that no matter what, you’re doing the best you can in life! 🥰

Creamy asparagus and potato soup with bacon, chives and parsley/garlic/lime olive oil.
I’d share the recipe but it’s in my head lol. Made this one up from scratch.

Basic ingredients are cooked potatoes, asparagus, shallots, garlic, red pepper flakes, parsley, basil and oregano with some half and half, bone broth and salt and pepper to taste.
What’s your favorite soup?
Happy Monday, everyone! Sadly our fevers resurfaced so we had yet another day of rest and trying to recover. I’ve slept more in the last six days than I’ve slept in a year, at least it feels that way. With the help of my daughter I made my chicken soup in hopes that it makes us feel better. Recipe is in the recipe tab of my blog. I also managed a mini plank to keep my almost 2 year streak alive. Back on my recliner for more rest now. 🙏🏻

Hope y’all had a better holiday weekend than we did! Lol!
Cheers,
Michelle
Well, this has been my view for the last five days. Thought we were feeling better yesterday, but fatigue and headaches have set back in today. This bug is kicking our butts. Managed a short plank to not break my streak. Hope y’all had a better day than me! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Cheers,
Michelle
Sorry I’ve been MIA – we had a busy weekend of celebrations as it was my husband and my meeting day/proposal day anniversary. 18/17 years now! He took me out to a lovely dinner on Friday, and we had dinner with friends on Saturday. Below is a sneak peak.

Needless to say, I needed to work out today, even though I didn’t eat anything too unhealthy.
We had such a nice time, and it felt good to reconnect. Every day life can take its toll on even the strongest of marriages so it was much needed. 💞
I had a case of the Monday’s and didn’t sleep well last night, but pushed myself to workout.
150 sit-ups, 50 push-ups, and a 20 minute run/walk interval session on the treadmill, followed by my daily plank!!
How about you? I’d love to hear about your day!!

Cheers! Tell me about your day!

Facebook reminded me today that it’s national dog day. An instant pang hit my chest, and the tug at my heart sunk in a little. Ok. A lot.
We’re missing our Sammy, whose been gone for two and a half years. Seems like a lifetime ago and like just yesterday all at once.

He always loved me best, and will be forever missed.
Cheers,
Michelle
Happy Wednesday, everyone!! Despite a rocky start, I had a great day at work and got a lot done. Today’s workout was 3 sets of weights/20 each: biceps, shoulders and back, 120 crunches, 2 mile run, and my daily plank.
Still fighting those five lbs I gained over the summer, so a yummy shrimp taco salad was for dinner.
How was your day?

Cheers!!

Happy Monday, everyone!! Got a great interval walk with some inclines today! 120 crunches, light weights, daily plank and stretching wrapped up my day.

Wins of the day-I put back the bag of chips I was going to have with lunch. 🤣🤣🤣
How was your day?! I’d love to hear about it!
Cheers!
