Happy Friday, everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic day!!! I’m so happy it’s the weekend, I don’t know about you!! Tonight’s workout was 3 sets of 30 reps-biceps and shoulders. 4 set of 30-crunches and my daily plank, ANDDDD my first mini long run. No, 4 miles isn’t considered long, but it is for me where I’m at in my pre-training phase so I’m pretty pleased.
Any big plans for the weekend? We’re keeping a close eye on hurricane Elsa…🌀😬🏃🏻♀️

Cheers!
Michelle
Nice… 4 miles is a good starting point (I mean, you could be starting from scratch).
Got awesome plans for the holiday? I’ll be seeing my grandparents, most of my siblings and my folks on Sunday — definitely looking forward to that.

For the last day that I have for me, I have walked over 20,000 steps with another couple of hours before it gets dark 😊

Nice job. You did great with the 4 miles and all of the strength training. Fingers crossed that Elsa doesn’t make landfall.

I’ll admit, it was hard. My short runs used to be 4 miles so I’ve got some work to do. Thank you!!

It is hard to work back up to those long miles. I don’t think I have gotten to the place where I feel 4 miles is a “short” run. Maybe 3 miles is. I’m supposed to run 9 miles in the morning. We shall see.

Five years ago 4 miles was a short run. Now not so much. Lol! Good luck with your 9 miles. Start out slow!!! Lol!!

Don’t worry. I’ll start and end slow. LOL

Oh, I’m going to my nephew’s on Sunday. He always throws a pool party at his house on the 4th, so mom will get to see all three of her great grandchildren (so will I) and we will have a great extended family day. It’s always fun. What are your plans, besides watching the weather?

That sounds so fun! We don’t have any solid plans. Grocery shopping tomorrow to stock up, hoping to get to the pool on Sunday if the rain subsides.

I hope it does and you are able to get some pool time. Where do you live?

We’re just north of Tampa Florida. Moved here 4 years ago and hurricane Irma welcomed me with open arms hahahaha!

I hope Elsa makes a turn and/or becomes less severe. The AF sent me to the University of S. FL in Tampa for my Electrical Engineering degree. It’s a nice area.

We love it here. Plan to move to the St Pete area once our youngest graduates in a few years. So far it’s only predicted to be a cat 1 so no biggy if she does make it our way.

Good. Even though a Cat 1 can still be scary.

Went through a cat 2, 4 years ago. It was scary for sure.

4 miles is a great stepping stone. I’m trying all kinds of new workouts in the garden. Just trying to freshen things up.
