Epcot Festival of the Arts/Thankful #3

We had gone back and forth on whether or not we were going to go to Epcot’s Festival of the Arts today. With all the storms up north, or temperatures plummeted into the 40’s with gusty winds of 20-30 mph. BRRRRR!! But I am so glad we ended up going despite the chilly temps. Epcot is my favorite of all the parks, and we always end up having a great time. It was the perfect wrap up to my birthday weekend.

Today I am thankful for:

  1. My family. They have taken such good care of me these last three weeks and went above and beyond to spoil me.
  2. Yummy food. I truly enjoy a good plate of food and love that my daughters have grown a love for food as well.
  3. Living within driving distance to Disney/Epcot. We love the  parks and festivals and all they have to offer throughout the year.
  4. Naps. Now that I am in my mid-to-later 40’s I catch a 20 minute cat nap whenever possible. Who knew someone could be SOOOO tired. I blame my inability to sleep more than a few hours at a time.
  5. Days off. I have tomorrow off, and I tell you what, I am ready for a day of just relaxing!!!

Here are some pics from the Festival of the Arts today:

What are you thankful for today? Have you ever been to the different festivals at Epcot? Are you working tomorrow?

Cheers!

Thankful #2

Today was a beautiful day. While not quite “beach” weather for this now transplanted Floridian, the sun was out and the ocean was calling me. We decided to celebrate my 46th birthday today since in fell on a work day last Thursday. Lunch in Tarpon Spring FL, followed by walking around a craft fair and spending an hour on the beach listening to the waves crash completed our afternoon. We finished the day with dinner, at a place called Rooster and the Till in Seminole Hghts FL, which I’ll talk about in a separate post.

Today I am thankful for:

  1. Living within driving distance of the beach. It truly heals what ails me.
  2. Simple things like craft fairs and small towns.
  3. My dog. I swear he loves me more than anyone else on this planet.
  4. My family. We had such a fun day just bumming around, and I wish my oldest could’ve shared it with us.
  5. Sunshine. While it does rain here a lot during the summer months, more days than not the sun is available to soak in the rays and erase any stress even if only temporarly.

What are you thankful for? What’s your favorite place to eat out at?

Cheers,

Michelle

Thankful #1

My friend Maria over @RunningFlaps is posting daily 5 things she is thankful for. While I will be realistic that I won’t post every day, I am going to make a concerted effort to post daily. This will one, help me in my goal of writing more and two, help me appreciate my daily life. Here goes…

  1. I am thankful for my family. They spoiled me with cards and flowers for my birthday yesterday and we have a fun filled weekend planned to celebrate my 46 years on this planet.
  2. I am thankful for my job. While I don’t love it, it helps provide for my family.
  3. I am thankful for living in Florida. Tomorrow I will get my first taste of Vitamin “Sea” in almost 6 months and I really need it.
  4. I am thankful that my almost 3 week cold is finally starting to go away. While I still have my cough, its loosened and lessened and I will celebrate small victories.
  5. I am thankful for the hundreds of Facebook messages, texts, phone calls and messages wishing me a happy birthday yesterday.

What are you thankful for today?

Cheers,

Michelle
