Very true. Often I walk in the VA and I wonder if my time in service-did someone experience the same things as I did? What about the women? What about the men? Who was in a combat zone? I look for a familiar face and know there is a strong possibility they will not recognize me, nor will I recognize them. And so, I observe quietly grateful to be part of them.

There are often even times I don’t feel I belong there as my time in service was one term but no one has ever made me feel uncomfortable in Tampa. They have been very good to myself and to my husband.

I’m so glad to hear that. I often feel the same because although I did 20 years, I never deployed.
