Happy Tuesday, everyone!!! I hope you’re all having a fantastic day!! My daughter arrives tonight, so I decided to get a workout in before we pick her up.
It’s been so darn hot here in FL, so when the temps dropped to 82/real feel of 89-I knew I needed to get outside. See, for me running just isn’t about fitness, it’s my therapy of sorts and has been most of my life. I only had 35-40 minutes so I ran one mile, and walked/ran the second mile. Yay for my first time running outside in ages. It felt great despite the temps.

BTW, I’m glad to see that your HR is less steady during your walk than it is during your run. Mine seems to be all over the place. I was beginning to worry that it wasn’t normal.

Yes, my heart rate tends to go all over the place, especially in the heat.

I hadn’t thought about it being heat related. I’ll have to see if it does it when it cools off too.

I know for me, heat and humidity really affect my heart rate…and the fact that this was my first run outside in months probably didn’t help.

Probably not. Often my HR will jump up to the highest level for the run during the first minute or so and then level off or, go all over the place. It’s just odd. I guess as long as we feel okay, it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

True…I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older mine jumps all over the place too-but usually because I’m out of shape or overheated. Lol

I achieved either 1.000 or 1,050 crunches today. At one point I wasn’t sure whether it was 700 or 750, so this way I knew that I had fulfilled my goal 😁
