Happy Monday, y’all! How was your weekend?!
Mine was great.
I started out my Friday with 8 miles after work. I was truly chasing daylight to get this one done and I wouldn’t change a thing about this run. Ok, maybe the pit stop I had to take in the woods to pee at mile 6, but other than that, it was perfect. Splits were: 9:54, 9:52, 9:56, 9:33, 9:26, 9:24, 9:12, 8:54! And…I got to capture this picture when I finished.
Saturday I spent the day in the city with my family. It’s amazing what a train ride, some shopping, and AMAZING food can do for the soul. AND I got to meet one the amazing John Colleta of Quartino in Chicago which is one of our FAVORITE places to eat in Chicago. WINNING.

Sunday was a quiet day filled with football watching, cooking, and one last run to wrap up the week.

It felt great to regroup over the last few months, and I really feel like I am getting back to ‘me’ again. Despite a rough summer, I can happily say I am continually movin’ forward and it feels great.
How was your week? Do you ever do touristy things where you live? What’s your favorite cuisine?
Have a wonderful week!!!
❤ Michelle

Sounds like you had a great week, Michelle.
Do I ever do touristy things where I live? Well, considering that I just moved to a foreign country a week ago, yes…I’ve been doing tons of touristy things lately. 🙂

That picture is beautiful! Wow what a great shot. My favorite food is pizza, and cereal. I mostly go out for pizza hahah. My order at our local customized pizza place is- no red sauce, olive oil instead. goat cheese, bacon, spinach, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, roasted garlic, and some oregano and sea salt. SO GOOD. I can eat the entire thing myself, in one sitting. mmm i want some today hahah

I’ve always heard that Chicago has the best pizzas. Judging by that pic of the pizza I would say so. That looks delicious. How cool you got a complimentary one, even better.

That picture at the top is AMAZING! It’s like a painting; so pretty!! Maybe you should go into photography too 😉 All that food looks so delicious too!!!
I’m near NYC so I sometimes play tourist there…but not often. Some days are just meant for wandering around Central Park or going out to eat there…but generally, I try to avoid all the crowds and stay in NJ.

Great run Michelle! That picture is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a postcard. I absolutely love pizza and that one looks amazing. As far as touristy things, living in Orlando one would think I should, but I really don’t in Orlando. I prefer to do that in Miami!

Sounds like a great weekend Michelle! We were supposed to go to an Oktoberfest on Saturday but it was cancelled due to the hurricane (that never came to our area anyway!) so we hit Iron Hill Brewery for lunch then went to see the movie “The Intern” with Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro – so, had a bit of fun like you!! 🙂 🙂
