Monday Motivation

Last night I was woken up at 3 am to loud claps of thunder and lightening. Really??  Am I really doomed to never ending late night wake ups?  Lol! I went to work tired…but happy none the less.

But I was also a bit nervous. I had my mammogram scheduled for after work and these exams always make me nervous having lost my maternal Grandmother to Breast cancer.

  Lol or not.

My results will be back in a week or so. Fingers crossed for a normal result. My dermatology appointment on Thursday will wrap up my plethora of annual exams and I’ll breath easy finally.

My motivation for all these exams?  To be around as long as possible for my family. <3. Plain and simple.

I finished a nice walk while my youngest was at ballet and day two of Ab Ripper X. All I can say is OUCH.

Ladies-are you good about keeping up with your annual exams?  What’s your favorite core workout?

Hope your Monday was awesome!

Have a great week, yall!!

  2. I’m pretty keen on my check ups as well. Though I’m still far away from having my first mammogram. Thank you for sharing that…some people would put it off and more then likely not post about it so I know that your sharing with encourage someone else to take care of themselves.
Hope your daughter is doing better.

  3. I’m not good at getting my annual checks done. Although I did finally get to the dentist last year. I’m calling that a win!

  4. I am actually terrible with my annuals and I really need to go back (skipped the last one). Thank you for the motivation! It’s so important to keep up with those things. I hope everything comes back great! (I’m sure it will!)

  5. Thanks for sharing as that’s a great reminder. I’m terrible at keeping up with these things and really need to come up with a system somehow to remind me to make various appointments.

  6. Good for you getting all your annual exams done. The only one I’m really good at keeping up with is my annual pap. I don’t even have a primary care doctor right now…guess I should work on that! Hoping for all good results for you, Michelle.

  7. Glad to hear to are taking care of yourself and being proactive which is the key to prevention Michelle. With my family history I’ve been proactive with taking care of myself since my early 30’s. Ummm, I really don’t have one favorite core workout I like variety, combinations, and mixing things up to keep the core guessing πŸ˜‰ xoxo

  8. My mother had breast cancer (survived) so I am very good about mammograms. I’ve been to all the other checkups, including dermatology. I think the only thing left is the dentist. Not my favorite. 😦

  9. I’m VERY good about annual exams. I had a cervical cancer scare in my early 20’s, and breast cancer runs in my family, so I NEVER skip. I’m bad about the dentist though…

  10. Good for you for getting the exams done. I had my annual physical but with our new (crappy) insurance mammograms are not covered. I’ve dragged my feet for that reason. How is a mammo not covered??
