Thoughts for Thursday

This is something I shared on my personal Facebook page today, and it was on my heart to share.

Thoughts for today…

Truth be told, the last few years have been hard. Despite all the happy Disney and beach pictures we like to share, our family has endured a lot. Deployments, teenage years, moving across the country, new jobs, more new jobs, and the loss of our Sammy to say the least. And most importantly, our parents are undergoing some pretty major health issues and to say it hasn’t affected us would be a lie. My hair has literally thinned to nearly nothing due to the stressThoughts for today…

Deployments, teenage years, moving across the country, new jobs, more new jobs, and the loss of our Sammy to say the least. And most importantly, our parents are undergoing some pretty major health issues and to say it hasn’t affected us would be a lie. My hair has literally thinned to nearly nothing due to the stress and I usually wear it in a clip to hide it because I’m embarrassed and hate when people ask me why it’s so thin…but last night Julie, my hairdresser and friend took two hours to pamper me, and I actually wore my hair down for the second time in gosh-28 years. While I’ll be forever self conscious about it, she helped me forget about my troubles for a bit.

It goes to show that life is short-be kind, make someone feel good when you can, and never pass up a moment to tell someone you love them. and I usually wear it in a clip to hide it because I’m embarrassed and hate when people ask me why it’s so thin…but last night Julie Kyle took two hours to pamper me, and I actually wore my hair down for the second time in gosh-28 years.
